A Human Resources Manager must have a strong background in team organization, excellent communication, and people skills with a focus on building the perfect team for our fast-growing business. System-based, process-oriented thinking, combined with an outgoing personality, is a key to success.
You must successfully be able to:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
Conduct audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
Develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process in its entirety
Interview candidates and make recommendations
Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks
Manage the new hire process including file management, completion and verification of I-9 and other documents, and conduct new hire orientation to foster a positive attitude towards organizational objectives
Administer benefits and health care plan, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Process required benefits and health care documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
Manage the Performance Management program and discipline process including termination process when necessary
Administer compensation, benefits, performance management systems, safety, and recreation programs
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and documentation, and ensure they are up to date and accurate.
Analyze training needs to design employee development, language training, and health and safety programs
Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs that ensure compliance with legal requirements
Answer frequently asked questions from internal and external customers while providing excellent customer service
Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks
Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers as well as legal and professional resources to ensure that all employment policies follow current laws and regulations
Manage the planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations as well as other methods for improving and measuring overall employee satisfaction and company morale
